Speedway Children’s Charities Benefits Imagination Library Programs

Bristol Motor Speedway’s Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) held its awards night recently and several Imagination Library programs in northeast Tennessee received funding awards. The SCC raises money to support local agencies that support children in need. During this Annual Night of Smiles event, SCC-Bristol announced its highest donation total since 2016. We are grateful for the Speedway Charities ongoing support of early literacy and the Imagination Library!

The following Imagination Library affiliates received awards:
  • Greene County Imagination Library was awarded $3,000 as a first time gift. This covers one month of books being mailed in Greene County.
  • Hawkins County Imagination Library was awarded $5,000 as a first time gift. This covers more than 2 months of books being mailed in Hawkins County.
  • Sullivan County Imagination Library was awarded $7,000 (a $1,000 increase over last year) which covers one month of books being mailed. In the past 15 years, SCC has donated  $105,000 to the Imagination Library program in Sullivan County!
  • Carter County Imagination Library also received an award. Details to be updated here.
