In a lovely presenting ceremony, Denta Dental employees handed over a large check to our Vice President, Dean Hoskins, who was thrilled to say thank you on behalf of the families in each community who will benefit from this generous support.
We were honored with the news that we were chosen overwhelmingly by Delta Dental’s employees as one of their causes to support with monies raised in 2014.
Dental Dental has long been a sustaining partner of Governor’s Books From Birth, but for their staff to remember us in their 50th Anniversary Giving Campaign statewide was a special treat. Benefitting six Tennessee counties where Delta Dental employees reside, over $3,000 were donated and will now be used to deliver quality books directly to children’s mailboxes in their communities through the local Imagination Library program.
In a similar year end donation, Chester County children were thankful for the Clayton Family Foundation, whose employees chose to designate $600 in donations to the Chester County Imagination Library. The funds will be matched by the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation and enable some 560 books to be delivered to children in Chester County.
Tennessee’s Imagination Library program has experienced a record year of enrollment and participation in 2014, and we are grateful for all of these thoughtful contributions which make storytime in their home possible for so many Tennessee children.
