Murfreesboro, Tenn. (May 23, 2016) – The Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® (MTAR) is providing a major contribution of $2,500 to the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation (GBBF), according to an announcement today by Dale Patterson, 2016 President of MTAR. The contribution is being made in cooperation with RealTracs Solutions®, which is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. MTAR was one of the original founders of RealTracs®, the multiple listing service for the Middle Tennessee real estate market.
“The Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® is both pleased and honored to make this announcement,” said Patterson. “We are delighted to be partners with both RealTracs Solutions® and the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation. While they have very different missions, both support our communities through excellent vision and work. We are honored to be able to make this contribution in support of the children of Tennessee and their opportunity to begin their path as lifetime learners.”
“RealTracs® is celebrating 20 years of providing a valuable real estate listing platform to agents throughout the region,” said RealTracs Solutions® CEO Stuart White. “The best way we know to show our appreciation of where we live and who we serve is to give back to the community. The Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors® has played an important role in the success of RealTracs, and the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation provides a wonderful service. Making this contribution through MTAR to the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation is one way we are able to affirm and appreciate the communities we serve.”
The Governor’s Books form Birth Foundation, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and our statewide county affiliate programs, builds a foundation for reading and learning through books for Tennessee’s children. All children from birth to age five are eligible to receive books at no cost to families. Providing books in the home is a unique opportunity for family engagement, vocabulary and reading skills development.
“We are preparing children for lifelong learning through reading,” said Theresa Carl, President of GBBF. “We are very thankful for the support MTAR has given Books from Birth over the past 10 years, and it is especially good news to receive this contribution from RealTracs Solutions®. These funds will be put to excellent use, supporting the children of Tennessee.”
