A Letter to East Tennessee

Dear East Tennessee,

We continue to hold you all in our thoughts as you deal with the ongoing effects of the recent storms and damage in the region. Our communities have experienced unthinkable loss, devastation, and heartbreak due to unprecedented flooding. The Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation team sends our deepest concern and care as we navigate this incredibly difficult period together.

Despite the challenges we face, Tennessee is resilient. We are witnessing the remarkable strength of our communities as people come together to lend a helping hand, share resources, and offer support. This spirit of unity is what makes Tennessee the “Volunteer State.”

As we strive to understand how we can best support these communities in the coming months, I want to take a moment to express our profound gratitude to the first responders and emergency teams who are tirelessly working to keep our families safe and assist those in need.

Together, we will rebuild and recover, and Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation is committed to standing by you every step of the way.

Take Care, and Stay Strong.

Sincerely,
James Pond
