Morgan County Book Delivery Day for PreK and Head Start

May 23, 2017

Governor's Books from Birth Foundation recently provided sample boxes of books for each of Morgan County’s PreK and Headstart classes. Each box contained a copy of The Little Engine That Could which is the first book each child receives when they enroll in the program. Welcome to Kindergarten , the graduation book that arrives the month the child turns five, was also included in each assortment. Twenty-five other titles made up the contents.

Donna Jerden, the Director of Morgan County Imagination Library, and her husband Steve delivered the books to the Headstart classes. “It was hard to determine who was more excited, the children or their teachers,” Donna said. “It was a pleasure to be part of this generous gift to the children of our county, and we deeply appreciate GBBF who pays half of our book bill every month.”
